Earlier this month, USC got some brutal news when it was announced that offensive lineman Kilian O’Connor will miss the entire 2026 season. With O’Connor expected to be the team’s starting center, the Trojans were suddenly forced to adjust their depth chart.
Well, we now know who will be taking O’Connor’s place. In his first “Trojans Live” appearance of the season on Monday evening, head coach Lincoln Riley confirmed that Tobias Raymond, who spent much of last season at offensive guard, will start at center for USC.
This is not a shocking development. Raymond actually worked in some at center during the spring. In addition, during the portions of fall camp that the media was able to view following O’Connor’s injury, Raymond was practicing at center with
the starting offense.
With Raymond moving over to center, that opens up a starting spot at offensive guard. While USC has not announced anything official regarding that yet, the current favorite appears to be redshirt sophomore Hayden Treter.
The Trojans will open their 2026 season on Saturday at the Coliseum against San Jose State.
