Lincoln Riley is welcoming back and bringing in a lot of talent this season on offense. It is safe to say the USC Trojans' offense will be one of the better units in the country. Young freshmen will emerge and introduce themselves to the college football world. Some veterans on this team will explode for productive seasons, propelling USC to success this year.
Here are my five bold predictions for the Trojans' offense this season:
Jayden Maiava will throw for 30 touchdowns
Last season, in his first season as the starter for USC, Maiava threw for 23 touchdowns and 3431 yards. He had two weapons that were picked in the 2026 NFL Draft. He enters this season with a loaded set of weapons: a young, promising tight end; two legitimate targets he can trust, one being a freshman he built a great
connection with last season; and a couple freshman wide receivers who have immense talent. With all these resources and more confidence, I believe Maiava's numbers will look a lot better than last year's impressive start. I think the biggest increase will be seen in the passing touchdowns category, as he will throw for at least 30 touchdowns.
Waymond Jordan will run for at least 12 touchdowns
King Miller will get the most carries to start the season, but I still expect Waymond Jordan to get his fair share. I think the majority of Jordan's success will come after big runs by King Miller. I think Jordan will specialize in the short-yardage game, and when it comes to red-zone time, Jordan will be a problem for defenses. I see him scoring a lot in the red zone for USC, giving the Trojans a cheat code to finish drives.
Tanook Hines will have 1,000 yards receiving this year
Tanook Hines made a ton of plays behind 2 star receivers last season as a freshman. When he got his shot to show WR1-level ability, he did just that versus TCU. In that bowl game, he had 6 catches for 163 yards. He is practicing and is good to go following his injury this offseason. I think he will shine this year and be Jayden Maiava's best target.
Boobie Feaster will score at least 5 touchdowns this season
He may just be a freshman, but he has already showed in training camp what he can do with the ball in his hands. I believe he will become one of the Trojans' best playmakers early this season. I think he will win the slot position, and he will catch a ton of screen passes and get many touches where he can be dangerous in space. He will find the end zone multiple times this season, whether catching a pass or getting a carry in the backfield.
Mark Bowman eclipses 500 yards receiving as a freshman
Mark Bowman will be the starting tight end for the Trojans, and he enters his freshman season with high expectations. So far, the early returns for Bowman have been great, and he has emerged as a top playmaker. Lincoln Riley has dealt with talented tight ends before, one great example being Mark Andrews at Oklahoma. Bowman has a chance to be special right out of the gate, and I think he starts his collegiate career with more than 500 yards receiving. He will be a nice security blanket for Jayden Maiava.
