On Saturday, USC will open up Big Ten play when the Trojans travel on the road to face Rutgers. On Wednesday afternoon, however, USC got some bad news on the injury front when it was announced that standout freshman wide receiver Trent Mosley will miss the game.
The exact details of Mosley’s injury have not yet been confirmed. According to reports, however, there is a good chance that he is out for multiple games. The fact that Mosley was confirmed as out on Wednesday is certainly not a great sign.
Through three games, Mosley leads USC in receiving with 255 yards and four touchdowns. His yardage ranks third in the Big Ten, and his touchdowns rank second.
The Trojans should be able to handle Rutgers easily without Mosley. Beginning next week, however,
the schedule will get much tougher, so USC fans are certainly hoping that the injury is not serious.
