Prior to the 2026-27 season, Duke guard Dame Sarr is excited to share the court with Sebastian Wilkins for the first time. Although Wilkins spent the 2025-26 season with the Blue Devils, he decided to redshirt his first year, allowing him to develop while sitting out for a season.
“How I saw him last year and see him this year, just a whole different person first of all, and then just as a player, he’s the type of player you always want on your team because he’s going to make the right play. He’s going to play with you, for you and for the team to win. I feel like that’s just unbelievable growth, and I’m just excited to share the court with him,” said Sarr.
At 6'8" and 220 pounds, Wilkins' strength, length and athleticism may earn him an extended
role in Jon Scheyer's rotation. In his first preseason scrimmage against Belmont, Wilkins played 22 minutes off the bench, tying Deron Rippey Jr. for the most in Duke's second unit.
