Despite missing one game due to a shoulder injury, former Duke star Cooper Flagg has been phenomenal to start the year. That continued Wednesday night, as last year's Rookie of the Year Award winner scored a team-high 26 points to go along with five rebounds and eight assists.
According to StatMuse, Flagg entered play Wednesday night as the only player in the NBA to average 25 or more points, five or more rebounds, five or more assists and two or more steals to begin the year. In four contests to begin the 2026-27 season, Dallas is 3-1, and Flagg is averaging 25.3 points, 6.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 1.3 blocks.
Still only 19 years old, Flagg seems to be reaching another gear. While the Mavericks' front office needs to surround him
with more talent, the former Blue Devil seems destined for the NBA's biggest stage.
