Cooper Flagg, a former No. 1 overall pick from Duke, has continued one of his hobbies since becoming an NBA player: card collecting. Flagg has been spotted at many trading card events and even bought cards of his former Duke teammate, Kon Knueppel. Both Flagg and Knueppel have dominated the conversation in the world of sports trading cards, as their one-of-a-kind NBA debut patch rookie autos are to be auctioned off next month.
Flagg furthered his hobby last week, announcing that his new card shop will open in his home state of Maine. The shop will be called Flagg Trading Co., and the grand opening is set for September 12.
With the shop, Flagg joins the list of A-list professional athletes who've opened card shops, including seven-time Super Bowl-winning
quarterback Tom Brady and seven-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton.
