Before the 2026-27 basketball season begins for the NCAA and NBA, Duke head coach Jon Scheyer has been gathering some of the school's most notable alumni. This included Jayson Tatum, Kyrie Irving and Paolo Banchero in a recent scrimmage, along with Jared McCain and Cooper Flagg, who participated in an earlier scrimmage with current members of the Blue Devils.
Alumni who are past their playing days were in attendance as well, like Jay Bilas, Carlos Boozer and the legendary Coach K.
Following the on-court work, Duke and Scheyer put together another Duke Brotherhood dinner, connecting with past players once more before a strenuous season begins in October. Scheyer was at the event, along with Banchero, Irving and his Dallas Mavericks teammate Dereck
Lively II.
This follows a Brotherhood dinner event that took place earlier in the summer in Las Vegas, with many alumni in the area for NBA Summer League festivities.
