It's been well documented that Duke head coach Jon Scheyer has produced more NBA talent from college since taking over for previous head coach Mike Krzyzewski than any other school. Those NBA alumni include three recent draft picks, Cameron Boozer, Isaiah Evans and Maliq Brown, who are set to begin their first NBA season this fall.
However, according to NBA Draft odds website Tankathon, there could be even more Blue Devils selected in the 2027 NBA Draft. Currently, Tankathon has four Duke players on their big board, none higher than incoming freshman Cameron Williams, who is projected to land No. 7 overall to the Atlanta Hawks.
Patrick Ngongba II is projected to land just inside the lottery at No. 15 (new draft rules beginning in 2027 expand lottery from
14 to 16 picks) with the Golden State Warriors. Then in the second-round Tankathon has Dame Sarr as the No. 44 overall selection and Cayden Boozer as the No. 55 overall pick.
This projection did not include transfer addition John Blackwell, who recently took part in the 2026 NBA Draft combine. With a solid senior campaign in Durham, Blackwell could easily earn consideration after falling just short a few months prior.
