Duke is off to a hot start to begin the 2026 college football season, sitting at 4-0 as the calendar flips over to October.
Running back Nate Sheppard has become the breakout star for the Blue Devils, leading the nation in rushing with 644 yards, while scoring nine total touchdowns. Walker Eget is finding himself at quarterback, playing his best game in the upset road win at Illinois.
The Duke defense shook off a bad first half in the Week 2 matchup against the Fighting Illini and has been nothing but stellar since, ranking seventh in the FBS in scoring defense by allowing 11 points per game.
