A few different Duke alumni took an overseas trip earlier this week, traveling to China and representing the Jordan brand. A longtime Jordan brand athlete, Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), was joined by Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic) and Jared McCain (Oklahoma City Thunder). Another NBA standout, San Antonio Spurs guard and former UConn alum Stephon Castle, was also in attendance.
While there, they enjoyed "The One," a global one-on-one basketball tournament hosted by the Jordan brand. Of the four, McCain and Castle have known each other for a while, as both represented Team USA during the 2022 FIBA U18 Americas Championship.
However, Tatum and Banchero are also friendly, as the two have spent lots of time together after meeting as members of the Duke
brotherhood, with Tatum serving as a mentor to his younger counterpart.

Ironically, the duos of Tatum and Banchero and McCain and Castle have both faced each other in the playoffs, with the Celtics besting the Magic in 2025 and the Spurs outlasting the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals last year.
