Not long after naming his all-time Duke starting five, former Blue Devil Kon Knueppel gave his all-time NBA starting five. The current Charlotte Hornets forward built a pretty unstoppable squad, filled with Hall of Famers and a trio of current players.
At the point guard position, Knueppel selected the NBA's all-time leader in 3-pointers made, two-time MVP and four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors. The Blue Devil selected a Tar Heel alum at his shooting guard position, 10-time scoring champion and six-time Finals MVP Michael Jordan.
To fill out his frontcourt, Knueppel chose the recently signed LeBron James, a four-time champion set to join the Philadelphia 76ers for his 24th NBA season next year. At power forward,
Knueppel chose the "Big Fundamental," selecting Tim Duncan, a five-time champion and a two-time league MVP. Lastly and most surprisingly of all Knueppel's picks, he selected a current Spurs player, 22-year-old Victor Wembanyama, at center.
