Former Duke forward Brandon Ingram has had quite the offseason. After one season with the Toronto Raptors, Ingram was traded for the third time in his career, this time back to Los Angeles. After beginning his NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers, Ingram now returns to the city, this time as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers.
After losing five first-round picks in the salary cap circumvention scandal, the Clippers received more bad news Monday, as it was revealed that Ingram will miss the beginning of the 2026-27 season due to injury. A former ACC Rookie of the Year Award winner (2015-16) with the Blue Devils, Ingram is dealing with a foot injury.
According to Law Murray, Ingram had a partially torn Achilles tendon and heel surgery, per Trent
Redden, Los Angeles' interim president of basketball operations.
In 10 NBA seasons, the former No. 2 overall pick has proven himself as a scorer, averaging 19.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks between three different teams.
