Duke opened up their football season Saturday against Tulane with a comfortable 17-3 victory against the Tulane Green Wave. Considering it was the first home football game of the season for the Blue Devils, a familiar face returned to campus.
This was Charlotte Hornets guard Sion James, who had a lot riding on Saturday's matchup. While James spent his fifth and final collegiate season at Duke, averaging 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks, he spent his first four years with Tulane.
While there, ACC Network caught up with James on the sidelines, who was wearing a black t-shirt, impartial to either side. James spoke about his first four seasons with the Green Wave while also discussing what it meant to transfer to Duke.
Lastly, James discussed his upcoming sophomore season with the Hornets, who finished one game short of the playoffs last season.
