After bringing in four-star prospect Asa Montgomery for an official visit at the beginning of the month, Duke and head coach Jon Scheyer recently hosted Colton Hiller, the No. 2 overall prospect in the class of 2028. Following the visit, Hiller discussed his time in Durham, revealing Duke's plans for him as a prospect.
“They want to come in there early and (be) a big piece of their next season,” said Hiller. Similar to Joaquim Boumtje-Boumtje, Scheyer and the Blue Devils are hopeful that Hiller will reclassify up to the class of 2027 and play two seasons with Duke before entering the NBA.
While Hiller has yet to make a decision, a crystal ball prediction from 247 Sports expects Duke to land the Pennsylvania native following the visit.
At the very
least, Hiller seems to have enjoyed his time at Cameron Indoor Stadium, saying, "It exceeded expectations. It was great, definitely, just getting down there and seeing what Duke is about and the brotherhood. It was awesome.”
