Another former Duke Blue Devil returned to campus this week, as Jared McCain dropped in on his alma mater. It was a reunion for McCain in many ways, who was able to workout with his brother, Jayce McCain, a current player development specialist at Duke. McCain also spent time with Caleb Foster, his former teammate during the 2023-24 season. Foster is the only remaining student athlete from the 2023-24 Duke squad, as both he and McCain went 27-9 in their freshman season three years ago.
Following the visit, McCain reflected on his time back in Durham.
"It's amazing, man; I love it," he said. "It brings me back to 2023, freshman year. It's awesome. I love coming back here; it brings the best memories."
McCain also spoke on Jayce's role with the school,
saying, "It's amazing, man. It gives me an excuse to come back. I love him being here and being able to keep up with the team through him."
