With Duke’s upset loss at Georgia Tech on Saturday in Atlanta, only one team remains perfect in ACC play. That is Miami, which should come as no surprise to anyone following the conference this season. The Hurricanes have barely been challenged going into their rivalry game against a wobbling Florida State squad this week.
The race for the conference title is coming down to Mario Cristobal’s team and everyone else. So, after Week 6 of the 2026 college football season, how do the 17 teams rank?
Here’s our ACC Power Rankings heading into Week 7:
1. Miami
If Oklahoma’s victory over Texas shows you anything, it’s that nothing is certain in a rivalry game. If Miami played Florida State in Tallahassee, I would put the Hurricanes on upset watch. That’s not the case.
2. Wake Forest
The Demon Deacons' lone loss came against Miami in a 13-point defeat.
3. SMU
The Mustangs stand 4-1, but a close win over Boston College isn’t exactly inspiring.
4. Duke
Manny Diaz’s insistence on consistency didn’t show up Saturday as the Blue Devils fell in a winnable game.
5. Pitt
I covered Holden Geriner during his time at Auburn. He’s not exactly a Power 4-level quarterback, and it showed in the Panthers’ loss to North Carolina.
6. Louisville
The Cardinals rebounded with a massive win over Florida State, likely putting the final nail in Mike Norvell’s coffin.
7. Virginia
That loss to Florida State is looking worse and worse.
8. Clemson
After a bye week, the Tigers host Charleston Southern. Lose that, and fans might start a GoFundMe for Dabo’s buyout.
9. North Carolina
The Tar Heels' matchup against Duke this weekend will prove whether Bill Belichick’s team is for real.
10. California
A comeback win over Virginia Tech helped the Golden Bears stop their slide.
11. Georgia Tech
Props to Brent Key for having his team prepared to play against Duke.
12. Virginia Tech
The perfect start doesn’t look so good for James Franklin anymore.
13. Florida State
Don’t doubt for a moment that Miami won’t mind running up the score on the Seminoles this weekend.
14. NC State
After two wins, the Wolfpack were a no-show against Wake Forest.
15. Stanford
The Andrew Luck-as-team-general-manager experiment isn’t working out well for the Cardinal.
16. Boston College
Bill O’Brien’s team has only won against Rutgers and Maine this season.
17. Syracuse
I would say Orange fans have already turned their eyes toward basketball season, but I’m not sure how much that will help heal the pain.
