Duke returns to Wallace Wade Stadium on Saturday for its ACC opener against Stanford after the Blue Devils earned a huge win in Champaign, Ill., against Illinois in Week 2.
The Cardinal are 1-1 after opening the season with a win against Hawaii before getting dominated, 45-6, by former Duke quarterback Darian Mensah and the Miami Hurricanes. It is Tavita Pritchard’s first season in charge at Stanford after serving as the Washington Commanders’ quarterback coach from 2023-25.
Vegas has the reigning ACC champion Blue Devils opening as 9.5-point favorites over Stanford in the first meeting between the teams since 2012. The Cardinal hold a 3-1 advantage in the series, with Duke’s lone win coming in 1971.
Stanford is led by quarterback Davis Warren,
who has thrown for 524 yards and a touchdown in two games, while running back Micah Ford leads the team with three touchdowns on the ground.
Duke and Stanford kick off at 4 p.m. ET on the CW.
