All eyes are on head coach Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils once again during the 2026-27 season. After adding one of the top transfer students in the nation (John Blackwell), along with incredible incoming freshmen like Joaquim Boumtje-Boumtje and Deron Rippey Jr., the Blue Devils are expected to continue their dominance of the ACC.
In a recent poll conducted by the conference, Duke was voted as the most likely school to finish atop the ACC, and the results weren't exactly close.
Duke earned 45 of 48 first-place votes, as Miami, Virginia and Louisville each received one apiece. All in all, Duke finished with 861 points, 83 above the next closest school (Virginia). Louisville, Miami and North Carolina rounded out the top five. If Duke were
to win another ACC Championship this year, it'd mark their third consecutive.
