What is the story about?

Texas remains No. 1 in the AP Top 25 Ranking this week after a narrow 20-17 win at Tennessee. This is the third week in a row the Longhorns have been ranked in the top spot. UT is also No. 1 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

SEC rival Georgia is No. 2 in this week's rankings. The Bulldogs are followed by Notre Dame, Miami and Ohio State in the top five. After a huge win over Ole Miss, the Florida Gators jumped up to No. 8 this week.

Longhorns rivals Texas A&M and Oklahoma both dropped out of the rankings after starting the year in the top ten. The Aggies were soundly beaten by LSU Saturday night, while the Sooners were blown out by Georgia.

There are ten SEC teams ranked in this week's poll. The Big Ten lands six, the Big 12 five and the ACC two.
