The injuries are starting to pile up for the Texas Longhorns. Star left tackle Trevor Goosby is out for the rest of the season after he suffered a knee injury against the Ole Miss Rebels, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Goosby played just 14 snaps against the Rebels before suffering the injury, getting carted to the locker room. The senior did not return to the game and was seen using crutches on the sideline. He started the first seven games of the season for the Longhorns, his fourth with the program and second as a starter.
The 6-foot-7, 325-pounder entered the season as one of the top offensive linemen in the country and was backing up the hype, being named the SEC Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week and the Outland Trophy National Player of the Week after
Week 2.
His 74.1 offensive PFF grade is the highest of any Texas offensive lineman. He did not allow a sack in 223 pass-blocking snaps, giving up just eight pressures and one quarterback hit.
Andre Cojoe took over for Goosby after the injury, making his seventh appearance of the season. The senior missed the 2025 season with an injury, but played in four games in 2024. He finished the game against Ole Miss with a 57.4 grade per PFF, giving up one sack and a quarterback hurry in 28 pass-blocking snaps.
Goosby played in 36 games with 21 starts during his four seasons at Texas. The Melissa, Texas native was the No. 8 overall pick in ESPN's Field Yates most recent mock draft.
