Is this the most important game in the Steve Sarkisian era at Texas? It certainly feels like it. Sarkisian and quarterback Arch Manning have been a punching bag for the national college football media all week. Some are even speculating this could be Sark's last game as coach in Austin.
The entire UT football program has come under the microscope this week. Three weeks ago, the Longhorns were No. 1 in the nation. Since then, the Horns have suffered crushing losses to unranked Oklahoma and Florida. In both game, the Longhorns gave up a lead in the second half and Manning has looked lost and ineffective.
Sarkisian's coaching of Manning has been called into question, with many national experts speculating Manning will transfer at the end of the season.
Backup QB KJ Lacey has been given more reps in practice. While Manning promises he will get better, Longhorns fans need to see results ... starting tonight against the Ole Miss Rebels.
