The Texas Longhorns 27-24 loss to the Florida Gators has been severely punished by the voters in the US LBM Coaches Poll. After a second straight loss to an unranked opponent, the Longhorns plummeted 12 spots and are now ranked No. 21. With all the chaos and upsets on Saturday, no team fell as far as Texas.
The Miami Hurricanes are the new No. 1 team in the nation after outlasting rival Florida State in double overtime. After starting the season as the top-ranked team in America, Ohio State is back up to No 2. BYU, who upset Notre Dame, are No. 3. Last week's top-ranked team Georgia is down to No. 4 and Texas Tech is No. 5.
Indiana, Ole Miss, Notre Dame Utah and UCLA make up the rest of the top ten. The Gators are back in the poll, up nine spots
to No. 24.
There are nine SEC teams ranked in the Top 25. The Big Ten lands seven in the poll. The Big 12 has four ranked teams and the ACC has three, including the No. 1 Hurricanes.
