The Texas Longhorns pushed their record to 3-0 with a win of UTSA last weekend. While doing so, they had prospects on campus for official visits. One of them was 2029 four-star wide receiver Braelyn Allen out of San Antonio, Texas.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder didn't get to speak with head coach Steve Sarkisian, but per Horns247, he was impressed with multiple things.
The team struggled offensively a little," Allen said. "But it was cool to see the defense step up and carry things while they settled down. The atmosphere was crazy. The drone show was insane. You could feel the energy the whole game. I liked the way the receivers competed and made plays. Wingo was great. He's a great blocker, which is something I take a lot of pride in."
When Allen wrapped
up his trip, he had something special to take with him. He received an offer from Texas as passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach Chris Jackson was the one that extended it to him. He called it the highlight of his visit.
The whole experience was special," he said. "But getting the offer from Coach Jackson was definitely the highlight. Being able to experience the game, meet the coaches, and see the players up close was another good part.
Allen has offers from Miami, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, SMU, ans Ole Miss in addition to Texas. However, the Longhorns were recently named his top school. So, they should look to get him back for another visit soon.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder is the No. 29 overall recruit and the No. 5 wide receiver per 247Sports. He's also the No. 5 prospect in the state of Texas.
