The final NFL cuts are in. Over the weekend, every NFL team had to make tough decisions to get down to the 53-man roster required for the kickoff of the regular season. There are 41 former Texas Longhorns that made the final rosters around the NFL. That's after former UT running back Jaydon Blue was surprisingly waived by Dallas Cowboys.
Six Longhorns were drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft. Five of the six are on the final 53-man for their respective NFL teams. Former UT linebacker Trey Moore was injured in a Miami preseason game against the New York Giants and will start the season on the injured reserve list with a designation for return.

The good news for Longhorns fans is, after spending his first two NFL seasons injured, Carolina running back Jonathan Brooks is finally healthy and ready to go.
