Voters in the AP Top 25 Ranking punished the Texas Longhorns for their epic collapse against the Sooners on Saturday. The 27-24 loss has cost UT seven spots in the AP poll, falling from No. 1 to No. 7.
Even Alabama, 20-17 losers to Georgia on Saturday night, jumped Texas. The Bulldogs are the No. 1 team in the nation now. Notre Dame is No. 2, Miami checks in at No. 3 and Ohio State and Indiana fill out the rest of the top five.
LSU plummeted 12 spots to No. 22 after losing in overtime at Kentucky. Oregon, losers at home to UCLA, has fallen completely out of the Top 25 after starting the season at No. 2.
UCLA climbed nine spots to No. 12 thanks to the Bruins win over the Ducks. Kentucky, unranked last week, has leaped all the way to No. 15.
Texas
faces Florida. After two losses in a row, the Gators have fallen out of the Top 25.
