The Chargers dropped to 0-3 after their tough loss on Sunday to the Buffalo Bills.
With that loss, many are officially out on the Chargers, including former Super Bowl player Bryant McFadden.
After the loss, McFadden said the team should set their sights on the 2027 NFL Draft and star Ohio State wide receiver, Jeremiah Smith.
“It’s about time sooner or later to start looking for the Jeremiah Smith sweepstakes," McFadden said.
Heading into Week 4 of the NFL season, the Chargers hold the No. 3 pick of the 2027 NFL Draft. Los Angeles is one of three teams with a 0-3 record, alongside the Titans and the Texans.
An 0-3 start is never ideal, but it's especially disappointing for a Chargers team that entered the season with high expectations. After three
games, Los Angeles looks nothing like the team many expected it to be.
Smith is projected to be a consensus top-five pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Some predict that the Ohio State wide receiver will go No. 1 overall.
The Chargers hope to avoid a top-10 pick altogether, as their season isn't going as they envisioned; however, adding to the wide receiver room is a necessity for Los Angeles, especially a generational talent.
Nonetheless, there is still a ton of football to be played this season.
As for Sunday's contest, the Chargers had multiple chances to win. Los Angeles won the turnover battle; however, the offense couldn't capitalize.
