The Chargers received a bleak update regarding one of their top skill players ahead of their Week 4 matchup against the Seahawks.
Wide receiver Ladd McConkey was downgraded to a non-participant at practice on Thursday after being limited by a newly emerged foot injury on Wednesday.
ESPN's Kris Rhim said he and the other reporters saw McConkey exit the locker room with a noticeable limp. The sudden mid-week downgrade casts a major shadow over his availability for Sunday's game.
McConkey has quickly become a focal point of the Chargers' crooked offense, hauling in 12 receptions for 183 yards and a touchdown over the first three games of the season.
McConkey has already played through a cracked rib suffered during the team's season opener against the Cardinals.
While he practiced fully last week and suited up for Week 3, this foot issue appears to be entirely new and occurred during or before yesterday's practice.
The Chargers will release their final game status designations following Friday's practice report, which will ultimately show whether McConkey plays or not.
