Former Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins trolled the team after handing them their fifth consecutive loss to start the season.
Dobbins, now a member of the Broncos, took to X to pile on the team after Sunday’s Week 5 contest.
"Damn… guess I was CHARGED UP today 🫣,” Dobbins wrote.
Dobbins had his most productive game of the season against his former team. The 27-year-old carried the ball 18 times for 68 yards and a touchdown. His longest carry went for 14 yards.
Dobbins played for the Chargers in 2024, his lone season in Los Angeles. That year, he recorded 195 carries for 905 yards, nine touchdowns, and averaged 4.6 yards per carry in 13 games.
After the 2024 season, Dobbins signed a one-year, $5.2 million contract with the Broncos. Before the 2026
season, Dobbins signed a two-year deal with Denver.
Dobbins spoke out after the Chargers placed an unrestricted free-agent tender on him, giving themselves exclusive negotiating rights if he didn't sign elsewhere by July 22. The move rubbed Dobbins the wrong way, and he ultimately signed with the Broncos before the 2025 season.
"I always have a chip on my shoulder, but, yeah, that was a little weird, but it's business," Dobbins said . "It's for my agent to handle. Good luck to them. I'm a Bronco now. They've got to see me twice a year."
