The Chargers are preparing for their first road game against the Bills on Sunday, September 27, at 10:00 am PT.
Here are six key things to know about Buffalo ahead of the Week 3 matchup:
Unstoppable offense
The Bills' offense is humming under new head coach Joe Brady. Buffalo is dismantling opposing defenses, leading the league in scoring efficiency with 38.5 points per game across its first two victories.
Josh Allen playing at an MVP-caliber
Quarterback Josh Allen is playing at an elite level and has emerged as an early MVP favorite. He is coming off a dominant five-touchdown performance against the Lions. Allen leads all NFL quarterbacks with four rushing touchdowns this season.
James Cook is cookin'
Another key piece of the Bills' offense is running back James Cook. Cook leads the league in 20+ yard rushing plays (3) and
ranks third in rushing yards (192). A Chargers defense that ranks seventh against the run will have another tall task on Sunday.
No. 1 wide receiver's status up in the air
Wide receiver DJ Moore's status is currently uncertain for Week 3. He is considered day-to-day with an AC joint sprain in his shoulder that he suffered in Week 2, making his availability a game-time decision. In the season opener, Moore had five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Vulnerable defense
Despite the perfect record, defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard's unit is struggling heavily. Buffalo gave up 31 points to the Texans in Week 1 and another 31 points to the Lions in Week 2. They are only the third team in NFL history to start a season 2-0 while surrendering 30 or more points in each game.
A distinct rest advantage
Because the Bills played on Thursday Night Football in Week 2, they enjoy a full 10 days of rest and preparation heading into this game. Meanwhile, the Chargers have to travel across the country on a normal week of rest.
