The Chargers are coming off a brutal Week 1 outing to the Cardinals. They looked far from Super Bowl-caliber, starting the season on a horrible note.
However, Week 1 is in the books, and the Chargers will look to bounce back in a big way. They'll need to do so, as a 0-2 start could put them in a tough spot in the playoff race.
The Chargers have a good chance to come out on top in Week 2 when they host the Raiders. However, if they fail to do so, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano believe it will be time to panic.
"The Chargers' panic meter will rise if they lose to the Raiders this week," Fowler wrote.
Graziano agrees with Fowler, viewing this Week 2 matchup as a must-win for Los Angeles.
"But you're absolutely right, Jeremy. The Chargers
need to beat the Raiders this week and look good doing it or we're going to wonder if it was all hype," Graziano wrote.
"Being 0-2 and looking up at the 2-0 Raiders in the AFC West standings would not feel good for a team that had the preseason hopes the Chargers held."
The Chargers looked lost and flat for most of Week 1. They were poor on all three phases, especially on defense.
It was a nightmare outing for the Bolts, but they'll look to be more like the juggernaut many think they can be.
