Through the first four weeks of the season, the Chargers are undoubtedly the league's most disappointing team.
The Chargers entered the season with so much hope and promise; instead, they are off to a 0-4 start, and there's not much going for them. Given where they stand and what is ahead on their schedule, they may move on from some of their more premium players, including Tuli Tuipulotu.
Tuipulotu has established himself as one of the NFL's top edge rushers, and an analyst believes the Chargers could move on from him if things continue to go from bad to worse.
Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports linked Tuipulotu to the Cowboys, Seahawks and Eagles.
All three of those NFC teams would either love to bolster their defense or seek Tuipulotu to improve it.
The Cowboys fall under the latter.
"Despite all of the moves the Cowboys have made, this defense is still struggling. That goes for the pass rush as well, which is tied with the Eagles, Dolphins and Chiefs in having the second-fewest sacks in the NFL this year. As we enter Week 5, the Cowboys rank bottom five in both total defense and scoring defense."
Tuipulotu is off to a stellar start to the season, recording 18 tackles, two tackles for loss, eight quarterback hits, two sacks and an interception.
The 23-year-old entered the season without a contract extension. He is in the final year of his rookie contract and is eligible for an extension.
It's unlikely the Chargers would move on from Tuipulotu, but they could certainly ship away veteran Khalil Mack for draft capital if their season continues to sink.
