The Chargers are looking for their first win of the season in Week 4, but it won't be easy as they face the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks.
It'll be a tall task, as the Chargers will head to the Pacific Northwest for their second road game of the season.
Seattle's crowd is rowdy, and head coach Mike Macdonald has led the team back to where they were in the early to mid 2010s. Macdonald was clearly a home run hire for the Seahawks; however, before that, he was one of Jim Harbaugh's coordinators.
The two spent the 2021 season together in Michigan, and Macdonald will never forget it. Before their Week 4 matchup, Macdonald reevaluated why he's forever grateful to the Harbaugh family, especially Jim.
"I had the honor of working
for both Jim and John, one year with Jim," Macdonald said.
"He [Jim] gave me so much autonomy and, like, the belief that he had in our staff on defense and in me personally as well.
"It felt like he never left your corner. We had a blast that year in Ann Arbor, and I'm just proud to say that we worked for him and are proud of the year that we had."
Harbaugh and Macdonald spent the 2021 season together at Michigan. Macdonald served as the Wolverines' defensive coordinator, leading them to a top-10 national defense, an undefeated home record, the Big Ten Conference Championship, and a College Football Playoff appearance.
The Wolverines finished No. 3 overall that season and went 12-2.
After that lone season, Macdonald spent two seasons as the Ravens' defensive coordinator before the Seahawks hired him as head coach.
