The Chargers hold a 0-4 record heading into Week 5.
Los Angeles sits in a position that many did not expect them to be in at any point of the season. Their season looks lost, and with injuries piling up, it looks like a lost one.
However, the Chargers still have a ton of football left on the calendar. They still have plenty of time to turn things around and put themselves in a position to have a puncher's chance at the playoffs.
That's the optimistic view of things regarding the Chargers. One move that could inch them closer to salvaging their season is trading for former No. 4 overall pick, Marvin Harrison Jr.
Alex Kay of Bleacher Report tagged Harrison Jr. as a player that could help the Chargers turn their season around.
"A change of scenery could
be exactly what Harrison needs to rejuvenate his career. It could also be the missing piece for a broken Chargers passing offense that is falling apart around quarterback Justin Herbert," Kay wrote.
"While Los Angeles would be doomed if Harrison continues to struggle following a trade, the team is already well on its way to missing the playoffs and has little left to lose at this juncture."
Harrison Jr. may not officially be on the trade block; however, he has emerged as one of the top trade candidates to watch ahead of the deadline.
The Chargers could use an upgrade at wide receiver. Outside of Ladd McConkey, that position group is full of hit-or-misses.
There is talent, but they lack the consistency the offense needs.
Harrison Jr. has had a tough start to his NFL career, and a change of scenery could be best for the former Biletnikoff Award winner.
