The sky appears to be falling for the Chargers as they start the season 0-2 and have a tough schedule ahead, starting this Sunday against the Bills.
Things haven't gone the Chargers' way in their first two games, especially on offense. Mike McDaniel's offense has been disastrous, with players looking lost and the overall product being sloppy.
Serious questions surround McDaniel's offense and Justin Herbert's play, with some even wondering whether bringing McDaniel in as offensive coordinator was the right decision.
It's been a nightmare start for the Chargers, but wide receiver Tre Harris still fully believes in McDaniel and Herbert to lead the way.
“Ain’t anybody giving up on anything," Harris said.
"Everybody's still on the same page. Everybody has
extreme belief in 10 — I know I do — and extreme belief in Coach Mike as well. …”
While the belief is still there according to Harris, the offense has yet to find its rhythm.
McDaniel's offense has looked disjointed, sloppy and confusing for players. The Chargers have had a ton of fumbles and miscommunication on that side of the ball, resulting in an average of 14 points through the first two games.
The Chargers' offense has provided some glimpses of what it can look like, but for the most part, it's been far more disappointing.
From the complex scheme to execution breakdowns and sloppy turnovers, this offense has a long way to go to get back on track. We will see if changes are made this weekend in Buffalo.
