Ahead of their matchup against the Bills, the Chargers made four roster moves on Saturday.
Los Angeles placed offensive lineman Trey Pipkins III on injured reserve. In correspondence, quarterback DJ Uiagalelei was signed to the active roster.
Pipkins, who was ruled out for Week 3 with a knee injury, will now miss a minimum of four games. With Kayode Awosika also ruled out with a fibula injury, the Chargers will turn to Trevor Penning to start at left guard.
With backup quarterback Trey Lance popping up on Friday's injury report as questionable, the team signed Uiagalelei to the active 53-man roster.
To round out Saturday's transactions, Los Angeles elevated tight end Patrick Herbert and linebacker Caleb Murphy from the practice squad. The move to
elevate Herbert follows the injuries to David Njoku and Charlie Kolar.
