The Chargers season has unraveled in a big way.
They sit at 0-4 with no juice or momentum, as it's been a season from hell for Los Angeles. Nothing has gone right for the Chargers, and if that continues, Los Angeles may get calls about edge rusher Khalil Mack's availability.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter says if the Chargers don't turn things around, Mack will be a hot commodity around the league.
"…Last year of his contract on a team that is not winning," Schefter said. "The Chargers need to turn it around to keep him. If not, they'll be getting calls about his availability."
Mack, 35, is playing on a one-year deal worth $18 million. There's also a chance that this could be Mack's final playing season.
The future Hall of Famer mulled over retiring
this past offseason and has said he wants to make a deep playoff run and win a Super Bowl. As things stand, the Chargers are far from that.
If Los Angeles keeps going down this road, the Chargers should look for a new home for Mack.
The Chargers are in danger of going 0-5 as they will host their division rivals in Week 5, the Denver Broncos.
Mack's days as a Charger may be numbered.
