The Chargers will take on the Seahawks on Sunday.
Los Angeles will look for their first win of the season, and it won't come easy.
This will be the 53rd time these two teams have met, with the last matchup in 2022. A lot has changed since then, and the Bolts are looking to make big changes to capture their first win after a disastrous 0-3 start.
Here are five bold predictions for the Chargers in their Week 4 matchup.
Chargers hold Jaxon Smith-Njigba under 100 receiving yards
This is as bold as it gets. The Seahawks wide receiver is currently averaging 135 yards per game and has 405 yards total through the first three games. Smith-Njigba is proving to be one of the best receivers in the league, and it will be a huge challenge for the Chargers' secondary. However, I believe Chris O'Leary will put them in the best position
to make this possible.
Quentin Johnston records 75+ receiving yards
Sticking with the wide receivers here, but shifting the focus to the Chargers' fourth-year pass catcher. As we've mentioned, it's been a tough start to the season for Johnston, but another week in Mike McDaniel's system and a chance to put that dropped catch behind him could set him up for a strong, productive game.
Chargers score 20+ points
The Chargers have to hit the 20-point mark this week, right? Los Angeles had multiple chances to do so against Buffalo, and I think they finally crack it this week. The Chargers are right on the doorstep to unlock this offense, and this will be the week they take another step.
Chargers rush for 100+ yards
The Seahawks' run defense has been stifling, allowing just 87 rushing yards to opponents so far this season. However, Keaton Mitchell may have found something last week. As for Omarion Hampton, he's struggled to start the season, but I think this is the week Mike McDaniel's run game shines in a big way.
Chargers defense forces 2+ turnovers
Chris O'Leary's unit found its groove in Week 3, and I think they will continue their stellar play in Week 4. The Commanders' defense forced three turnovers on Seattle last week, Sam Darnold's first game back since Week 1. It may continue to take him some time to get back into the groove, but it may not come against what looks to be a stout Chargers defense.
