The Chargers have made a flurry of practice squad moves as the 2026 season approaches.
On Wednesday, the Bolts announced that they've signed cornerback Kaiir Elam, defensive lineman Jordan Jefferson and wide receiver Theo Wease Jr.

In corresponding moves, Los Angeles released defensive lineman Jahmeer Carter, wide receiver Devonte Ross, and cornerback Isas Waxter.
The signing of Wease was the most recent, as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on the addition.
Wease has some experience playing under Mike McDaniel. He was a member of the Miami Dolphins in 2025 while
McDaniel was head coach.
Elam signed to the Chargers' practice squad on Monday. The former first-round pick was recently with the Chiefs during training camp.
Elam made four appearances with the Titans in 2025, where he recorded one pass deflection, two fumble recoveries and four tackles. The cornerback also made seven appearances with the Cowboys last season.
As for Jefferson, the 24-year-old is set to enter his third season in the NFL.
The Chargers will be the fourth organization of his career. The defensive tackle has recorded 12 tackles and one sack in 10 games in his career.
Carter and Ross went undrafted in 2026 and signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent.
As for Waxter, he signed a futures contract in January 2026 and spent the entire offseason with the Chargers.
