The Chargers' 2026 season opener was far from ideal. They dropped the contest to the Cardinals, a team projected to be among the worst in the league.
Week 1 was ugly for Los Angeles; however, they have a chance to bounce back in a big way in Week 2 against the Raiders, a team they've beaten four straight times.
While the Chargers are the home favorites in the upcoming contest and have dominated Las Vegas lately, an anonymous NFL coach believes Los Angeles could have their hands full this Sunday.
"They are going to have their hands full with the Raiders next week, because the Raiders are organized, they have a veteran quarterback and their defensive front is decent," the coach said.
The Raiders got off on the right foot in 2026. They are 1-0 after
defeating the Dolphins, 27-13. Granted, the Dolphins are projected to be the worst team in the league as they are in the midst of a rebuild; still, the Raiders took care of business.
The same doesn't apply to the Chargers, who lost to the Cardinals after being a 10-point home favorite.
It was a sloppy and concerning start for them; however, they have a great opportunity to bounce back against a division rival.
After this contest against the Raiders, the Chargers face a brutal schedule, so capitalizing on this game could go a long way.
