The Chargers announced they have signed veteran offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill to their practice squad.
To make room on the roster, the team released defensive lineman Jordan Jefferson from the practice squad. In corresponding moves, the Chargers also opened the practice windows for fullback/defensive lineman Scott Matlock and guard/tackle Branson Taylor.
With Rashawn Slater likely headed to injured reserve and other offensive linemen injured, the Bolts are bringing in Brunskill for additional insurance at the position.
Born in San Diego, CA, Brunskill played his college football locally at San Diego State University from 2012 to 2016, transitioning from tight end to the offensive line during his collegiate career.
Brunskill has appeared in
108 regular-season games and made 71 starts at multiple positions across stints with the 49ers, Titans, Dolphins, and Commanders. Notably, he played a key role on San Francisco's interior offensive line during its run to Super Bowl LIV.
Brunskill is familiar with offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, having played under him with the 49ers (2019-2021) and the Dolphins (2025).
