Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is happy to see offensive tackles Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt back on the field together again.
Harbaugh spoke to the media on Friday and said the two stars are 'ready to roll.'
“It’s been earned by rehab and training," Harbaugh said.
"Guys just practicing, working together for the last many months. Ready to roll, in a good place.”
Slater and Alt did not play in a single snap together in 2025. Slater was ruled out for the entire season in August 2025 due to a torn left patellar tendon. He required surgery and did not play a single snap.
As for Alt, he was held to only six games. He suffered a severe right high ankle sprain in Week 9 that required surgery.
The two star tackles were not available in the playoffs, which
hurt the Chargers' chances of potentially making a deep playoff run.
Now that Alt and Slater are healthy, the Chargers have two of the best at their respective positions. Alt and Slater have a chance to be named All-Pros in 2026, especially under new offensive play caller Mike McDaniel.
The two are expected to be two of the best tackles, protecting Justin Herbert snap-in and snap-out, as well as stabilizing what should be an elite running game led by Omarion Hampton.
Alt and Slater's play will be the difference between another good season for the Chargers and potentially one of the best in franchise history.
