The Chargers are preparing to host their AFC West rivals, the Raiders, on Sunday, September 20 at 1:05 pm PT.
Here are six key things to know about Las Vegas ahead of the Week 2 matchup:
Week 1 momentum
Under first-time NFL head coach Klint Kubiak (former Seahawks offensive coordinator), the Raiders picked up a convincing 27-13 victory over the Dolphins at Allegiant Stadium.
Kirk Cousins' milestone
Quarterback Kirk Cousins enjoyed an impressive regular-season debut for the Raiders, throwing for 160 yards and three touchdowns. With that performance, he officially passed Hall of Famer John Elway on the NFL's all-time career touchdown passing list.
Ashton Jeanty explodes
After an injury scare in training camp, running back Ashton Jeanty served as the focal point of the offense. Jeanty logged 23 carries for 102
rushing yards and caught six passes for 45 yards, including two receiving touchdowns.
Brock Bowers' avaliability up in the air
Star tight end Brock Bowers missed the season opener due to a knee injury. His status remains up in the air heading into the game, which means the Raiders may continue to lean heavily on Jeanty out of the backfield and in wide alignments, as well as their No. 2 tight end, Michael Mayer.
Defensive dominance
Defensive coordinator Rob Leonard's unit was excellent in Week 1, ranking 1st in Success Rate allowed per rush and 4th in overall Expected Points Added (EPA) per play. The Raiders logged five sacks and 27 pressures against Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis, generated two turnovers, and held Miami to just 2-of-11 on third downs.
Trying to beat the SoFi Stadium curse
The Raiders have lost five consecutive road games against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
