Justin Herbert's brother and tight end, Patrick Herbert, will join the Chargers organization, as Los Angeles has signed him to the practice squad.

The younger Herbert went undrafted in 2025 after playing six seasons for the Oregon Ducks.
After going undrafted, Patrick signed with the Jaguars and was added to the practice squad after being cut from the active roster last August.
Patrick signed a reserve/future contract with Jacksonville in January 2026. After spending most of the offseason in Jacksonville, Patrick will now head to Los Angeles to join his older brother.
Justin will enter his
seventh season in the league, all with the Chargers. He's undoubtedly the Chargers QB1 and their franchise piece. While that is the case, things haven't been easy for him in his tenure.
From playoff shortcomings to injuries to offensive line inconsistencies, there are a handful of reasons for the Chargers' inability to get over the hump.
Nonetheless, the Chargers hope that is a thing of the past as the 2026 season approaches.
Patrick is among a handful of players who have been added to the Chargers' practice squad.
