The 25-year-old wide receiver initially signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas following the 2025 NFL Draft.
Grimm was among the final roster cuts and spent the rest of the season on and off the practice squad. After the 2025 season, Grimm signed a reserve/future contract with the Chargers.
The Chargers waived Grimm with an injury settlement in mid-August. A week later, the Chargers waived Grimm with an injury settlement.
Now, he returns to the Chargers amid their 0-5 start.
The former undrafted wide receiver played five college seasons at Kansas.
In college, Grimm recorded 177 receptions for 2,472 yards, 23 touchdowns and averaged 14 yards per reception.
If injuries continue to deplete the Chargers' wide receiver room, the team could look to elevate Grimm to the active roster.
