The Chargers have signed tight end Hayden Rucci, the team announced on Tuesday.
Los Angeles added Rucci to the active roster, a day after placing tight ends David Njoku and Charie Kolar on injured reserve.
Rucci previously played on the Jaguars' practice squad.
Njoku will miss at least the next four weeks with a knee injury. Kolar is also on the IR with a forearm injury.
In a corresponding move, the Chargers waived wide receiver Garry Jennings.
The Chargers signed Jennings to the practice squad last week. Los Angeles added Jennings after placing KeAndre Lambert-Smith on injured reserve.
Rucci, 25, went undrafted in 2024. He immediately signed with the Miami Dolphins and has played for three other organizations, including the Detroit Lions, San Francisco
49ers and the Jaguars, before signing with the Chargers.
Rucci has played in four games in the NFL, recording only a tackle, which came in his time as a Dolphin in 2025.
Rucci played his college ball in Wisconsin, where he recorded 17 receptions for 200 yards in 29 games and 18 starts.
