The Chargers will look for their first win of the season against the Seahawks.
This Week 4 matchup will be the Bolts' second road game of the season in front of a rowdy Seahawks crowd. They don't have much on their side entering this matchup, but that's when they usually surprise people.
Here are the five players to watch in Week 4.
Justin Herbert
Herbert hasn't played up to par, and at the same time, his pass catchers haven't done him any favors either. It's very easy to point the blame at Herbert, but the film and context tell us that's far from the truth. Still, he's the quarterback, and it's hard to leave him off this list as the Chargers stare down a potential 0-4 start. At the end of the day, Herbert will have to find answers against a Seattle defense that prevents
big plays.
Joe Alt
The leader in penalties has looked far from the Pro Bowl tackle we expected to see start the season. Alt has not looked sharp; however, his pass blocking has remained solid, and he showed signs of a stronger outing against the Bills. This Seahawks defensive line will present a challenge that Alt must be ready for if the Chargers want any chance of coming away with the win.
Cam Hart
Smith-Njigba is off to a scorching start, so Hart and the other defensive backs must do their best to contain arguably the league's best wide receiver.
Omarion Hampton
The Seahawks defense has allowed no rushing touchdowns this season and ranks first in defensive EPA against the run. This is a difficult matchup for the running backs, and we'll find out whether they and Hampton are up for the challenge.
Tre' Harris
Harris saw his role expanded in Week 3, and that should continue in Week 4. Ladd McConkey is currently dealing with a foot injury and is listed as questionable. That gives Harris a chance to prove he is a reliable pass catcher against a stout Seahawks secondary. If he shines here, he'll earn the trust of Herbert and Mike McDaniel.
