The Chargers will face one of the league's best teams this Sunday: the Bills.
Los Angeles will have its hands full against the Bills, as Buffalo looks like a juggernaut and an early favorite to hoist the Lombardi Trophy this season.
As for the Chargers, they look like quite the opposite. They entered the season with much promise; however, after two weeks, many are writing them off.
The Bills are heavy home favorites in the matchup; nonetheless, quarterback Josh Allen is not taking them lightly.
Allen said he's not fooled by the 0-2 start and stated that the Chargers defense has real talent led by Khalil Mack and Derwin James Jr.
“I think that they’ve got some real talent, Allen said.
"Khalil Mack one of best pass rushers of last 20 years. Still plays
at high level. DBs are savvy. Derwin James not afraid to lay the boom.”
Head coach Joe Brady praised the Chargers' offense and Mike McDaniel. He said McDaniel challenges opposing defenses like no other.
“You have to defend every blade of grass on the field," Brady said.
"He makes your defense communicate at a high level. They do a good job making things look the exact same.”
While Allen and Brady praised the Chargers on both sides of the ball, the reality is Los Angeles hasn't looked sharp on either side.
The Chargers' defense has shown early in the season that it can't consistently cover receivers, especially over the middle, and can't put pressure on the quarterback.
The offense has been sloppy and inconsistent. Whether it's the complex scheme McDaniel has implemented or mental errors, it's been a tough watch, and the offense has managed only 28 points in two games.
The Bills will be the Chargers' toughest challenge yet in what will be their first road game of the season.
Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. PT.
