Myles Garrett has been out since undergoing knee surgery after the Los Angeles Rams' season opener, missing the last seven games while on injured reserve. And though he's been out much longer than fans expected, his return is approaching.
Sean McVay told reporters that Garrett will practice this week, which will be his first time taking the field since Week 1.
Josaiah Stewart and Wesley Bailey have done a nice job filling in for Garrett opposite Byron Young, but no one can truly replace the two-time Defensive Player of the Year. The Rams will be significantly better once he's back on the field, upgrading the pass rush and run defense.
Rams star DE Myles Garrett WILL practice this week. First action for him since Week 1. Still on IR as they have
21 days to activate him. Terrance Ferguson has a good chance to practice this week, too.

The Rams need Garrett now more than they did before because the defensive front is hurting. Poona Ford is out for the year and Kobie Turner is on IR, so they can use all the pass-rush help they can get – and there may not be anyone better than Garrett.
Garrett didn't have a tackle or sack in his Rams debut against the 49ers in Week 1, so he'll be chomping at the bit to finally get on the board and help his team make a run to the playoffs down the stretch.
