The Los Angeles Rams don’t have to decide on Puka Nacua’s status until 90 minutes before kickoff tonight, but it sounds like they probably won’t have their star receiver. Adam Schefter of ESPN shared an update on Monday afternoon during an appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show” and said that Nacua is “trending towards not playing” against the New York Giants.
Nacua is dealing with a hip injury that popped up late last week, with Sean McVay saying the receiver felt some soreness in his groin. He did not practice on Friday or Saturday.
"It certainly sounds like Puka's trending towards not playing tonight against the Giants,” Schefter said. “They're not giving up hope that he can go out in pregame warmups, feel good, lights are on and all of a sudden
he decides to play, but it doesn't sound promising right now that Puka is going to be available for the Rams.”

Schefter previously said that Nacua will be a game-time decision, so it sounds like the Rams will work him out during pregame warmups and see how he feels. But considering how long the season is, it would not be surprising if the Rams hold him out of this contest, especially with a short week coming up.
Nacua missed time in practice this summer due to a psoas injury, but McVay specified that these two injuries are not related. This is a new hip issue that Nacua is dealing with.
