The Los Angeles Rams have moved on from rookie nose tackle Tim Keenan III for the second time in a week. After waiving him during final roster cuts on Sunday, the Rams brought Keenan back on the practice squad a day later.
Well, he’s been cut again. The Rams dropped Keenan from the practice squad in order to make room for former Seahawks outside linebacker Jamie Sheriff.
Keenan was the Rams’ final pick in the 2026 draft. He was selected 232nd overall in the seventh round out of Alabama. Keenan struggled in the preseason, failing to make a strong enough impression on the coaching staff to secure a roster spot.
It didn’t help that Aaron Donald came out of retirement on the same day Keenan was cut, but he’ll now be looking for a new team after being
dropped from the practice squad.

Sheriff was waived by the Seahawks on Sunday but after clearing waivers, the Rams have now given him a practice squad spot. He’s a third-year pro who went undrafted in 2024, getting his first opportunity with the Seahawks. He then had a brief stint with the Panthers before landing back with Seattle.
He gives the Rams some additional depth at edge rusher behind the four outside linebackers they kept on the 53-man roster.
